Valoración del impacto educativo de un programa compensatorio, orientado a abatir el rezago escolar en la educación primaria
El artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación de carácter longitudinal que tuvo como propósito evaluar el impacto, en el rendimiento escolar de la educación primaria durante tres años lectivos, de un programa compensatorio, el Programa para Abatir el Rezago Educativo (PARE), el cual fue diseñado para ofrecer diversos apoyos a las escuelas que funcionan en ambientes socioeconómicos precarios.
The article presents the results of a longitudinal study aimed at evaluating the impact, in the school performance of children, attributed to the Program to Reduce the Educational Lag (known as PARE from its Spanish acronym: Programa para Abatir el Rezago Educativo). The study was done with a sample of schools that received one or more of the different types of aid (components) provided by the PARE. All the schools in the program were located in marginalized areas of the four poorest states in Mexico. The study was carried through a period of three school years. Differences were found on the effectiveness of each component of the program to improve school performance of children.
